Club night

We play on Wednesday evenings between 7pm – 9pm at Nottingham High School, in the Arboretum area of the city centre.

What to expect
All the games we play are doubles – mixed, ladies’, or men’s – to 21 points. To rotate players during the session, and ensure everyone gets an equal number of games, we use a peg board. This is simple system that’s easy to use, and ensures fairness and variety of play.

Equipment
Players must provide their own racket but we supply feather shuttles for training and matches.

Venue information
We have exclusive use of the Sports Hall during club nights, with four badminton courts available. There’s free parking, toilets and changing rooms, and a water dispenser.

Membership
Our club membership is for a year, rather than just the badminton season.

October 2022 – September 2023

  • £180 – full
  • £150 – concession (65+, full-time student, unemployed)

Payment for membership is flexible, allowing for a single payment or monthly standing order. Membership costs are reduced accordingly on a pro-rata basis for those who join part way through the season.

Visitors
We welcome visitors to our club nights throughout the season, providing our membership doesn’t grow too large. New and returning visitors must contact the club before coming along.

Find out more about visiting our club nights on our joining pages. Visitor fees for 2022/23 are £6 (full) or £4 (concession) per session.
